Management Essentials is practical management course. It is suitable for people who have management experience but would like a chance to refresh their knowledge and skills; for those who have just moved into management; or for people who are thinking about moving into management. It will provide an opportunity to think about managing both systems and people so that they are motivated and equipped to do their best.

The Management Essentials course covers:
- What factors contribute to organisational and team effectiveness
- What managers do
- Leadership styles and what makes an outstanding leader?Planning, including setting outcomes and objectives and developing individual workplans
- Human resources and workforce development systems – what do you need and how do they fit together?
- Building and developing teams
- Getting good performance and developing positive relationships, including motivation, coaching, delegation, assertiveness and giving positive feedback.
- Managing problems and difficult situations including performance problems, conflict, giving constructive or negative feedback and holding difficult conversations.
In-house cost for two day course: £1,500 + trainer’s expenses (or £550 for a half day workshop based on part of the course)
