Using the Myers Briggs framework, identify different work preferences across your team and how this might influence the way that you work together.
Half day course
The Myers Briggs framework can be helpful to identify different preferences in yourself and colleagues that can affect how individuals and teams work together. It helps you to recognise where you have a different pattern of making decisions, organising your life or processing information from other people and how this might influence your interactions. This can also be helpful in identifying and managing conflict.
This session looks at the four dimensions of the Myers Briggs personality framework:
Introversion and extraversion – how people get their energy
Sensing or intuition – ways of gathering and processing information
Thinking or feeling – ways of making decisions
Judging or perceiving – how people organise their lives
By the end of the workshop participants will:
Understand the four dimensions of Myers Briggs
Consider where they fall on each of them and what this means for their work style
Understand how other colleagues might be different and how this can create conflict or problems in communication and day to day work
Identify some practical steps that you and your team can take on the basis of this knowledge to create a better working environment and increased productivity.
Please note this course will help you to identify which of the 16 Myers Briggs “types” you might be based on your self-assessment against the dimensions, but the formal test will not be part of this workshop. In-house cost: £500 + trainer’s expenses
